Application Process
Here is a step-by-step guide to applying for the Spouse Joining Spouse Permit:
Step 1: Submit Your Online Application
- Visit the VFS Global website and complete the online application form.
- Pay the mandatory fee of M2800 and schedule an appointment.
- Payments can be made via prepayment at Standard Bank Lesotho or by credit/debit card at the application centre. Cash payments are not accepted at the Visa Facilitation Centre.
- Ensure all required documents are prepared for submission.
Step 2: Attend Your Appointment
- Arrive 15 minutes early at the Permit Facilitation Centre with your appointment letter, printed application form, proof of payment, and all supporting documents, along with your valid passport or travel document.
- Collect a token upon arrival and wait for your number to be called.
- Submit your application and receive an acknowledgment receipt. Keep this receipt safe as it will be needed to collect your documents later.
- Important: You cannot submit additional documents after your application has been submitted.
Step 3: Provide Biometric Data
- Enroll your fingerprints and photograph at the Permit Facilitation Centre. This includes a digital finger scan of all 10 digits and a digital photograph.
- Ensure your fingertips are free from any decorations or markings that may affect the scan.
- Note: All children and infants are also required to provide biometric data.
Step 4: Collect Your Permit
- All processed applications are delivered to the district office where you reside.
- Track your application online using the VFS Global website.
- Once a decision has been made, collect your permit in person from your district office. You must present your original passport and acknowledgment receipt to receive your permit or refusal letter.
