    General Information

    • The Dependant Pass is designated for the relatives (spouse, children, and other household members) of a Ugandan or a non-Ugandan with a valid work permit in Uganda.
    • This permit is directly linked to the principal permit holder and is canceled upon the expiry or cancellation of the principal’s permit. It does not permit the holder to work in Uganda.

    Application Process

    1. Submission: Once the application is submitted, it will be reviewed by an Immigration Officer. Additional information may be requested during the approval process.
    2. Notification: The decision will be communicated electronically to the email provided by the applicant. If approved, an approval letter will be sent as an attachment, which should be downloaded.
    3. Visa Requirement: A travel letter does not grant permission to enter Uganda. Applicants from visa-prone countries must apply for a visa to enter Uganda.
    4. Entry Requirements: Present a valid travel document with at least six months’ validity to the Immigration Officer at the port of entry.
