For companies applying for the first time to import or export arms and ammunition, the following documents are required:
- Personality Form: Purchase from the Ministry of the Interior.
- Application Letter: Addressed to the Hon. Minister, Ministry of the Interior, Accra, and accompanied by completed personality note forms.
- Attachments:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) of all company directors and shareholders.
- Copy of Company Registration and Company’s Code.
- Certificate of Incorporation.
- Police Clearance Certificate for the warehouse location.
Requirements for Existing Applicants
For existing permit holders, additional steps are necessary based on specific needs:
- Importing Arms and Ammunition:

- Evidence of authority to deal in the product.
- Receipt of payment.

Delivery Process: To take delivery, submit another letter to the Minister with a copy of the import permit.

Processing Times
