A Work Permit allows non-citizens to work or invest in Botswana. The permit is granted after meeting certain conditions and submitting the necessary documentation.
Who is Eligible?
- Non-citizens wishing to work or invest in Botswana.
How to Apply?
- Complete the Work Permit application form.
- Submit the form with required documents to the nearest Labour Office.
- Receive notification of approval or denial.
- Collect the permit upon approval.
Supporting Documents Required:
- Job advertisement (no older than six months).
- Signed application letter.
- Employment contract or Offer letter.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Certified copies of educational certificates (translated and verified by Botswana Qualifications Authority).
- Certified copy of a valid passport (biographic page).
- Two passport-size photos (white background).
- Clearance from relevant professional bodies (if applicable).
- Additional documents for specific professions (e.g. farmworkers, drivers, professionals).
