Supporting Documents Required for a School Bus Permit
Applicants are required to submit the following documents when applying for a School Bus Permit:
- Valid Roadworthiness Certificate for the vehicle.
- Certified Copy of Identity Document (Omang) of the applicant or one director (for companies).
- Certificate of Incorporation & Shareholder’s Certificate (for companies).
- List of Students to be transported.
- Authorization Letter from the school administration allowing the applicant to transport students.
- Copy of the Vehicle's Registration Document (blue book).
- Vehicle Inspection Certificate: Issued after the vehicle passes inspection.
- Business Proposal detailing the transportation operations (for companies).
- Expired Permit and Expired Token (for renewals).
How to Apply for a School Bus Permit
Step 1: Download and Complete the Application Form
- Download Form RTS 1 - Application for Initial Grant, Amendment, or Renewal of Road Transport Permit from the DRTS website or collect a copy from any DRTS office.
